The Conviction
Why Excuse Remover?
30+ years. 10+ countries. One conviction.

“I inspire people to be better tomorrow than they were today.”
Henk Koekemoer has spent over 30 years working with leaders and organisations across Africa, not as a consultant looking in from the outside, but as a leader, manager, and coach working through real problems with real people.
The name “Excuse Remover” came from a pattern Henk kept seeing: talented people held back not by lack of ability, but by the stories they told themselves about why they couldn't. Why the team wasn't ready. Why the timing wasn't right. Why it wouldn't work here.
The program was built to address that pattern directly. Not with motivation, not with theory, but with practical tools, honest self-reflection, and the kind of challenge that produces real change.
The Conviction
I inspire people to be better tomorrow than they were today.
That's not a tagline. It's the standard we hold every course, every coaching session, and every interaction to. Better doesn't mean perfect. It means measurably, noticeably, practically better. That's the only outcome that matters.
Why 3 Days. Why In Person. Why This Way.
The Program Was Designed With Purpose
Why 3 Days
Real behavioural change doesn't happen in a half-day workshop. Three full days of immersive, in-person learning creates the space for reflection, practice, and genuine shift, not just information transfer.
Why In Person
Leadership is about human connection. The energy of the room, the group dynamics, the real-time coaching: none of that translates to a screen. In-person delivery is a non-negotiable design decision.
Why Personality Profiling
Leaders who don't understand themselves can't lead others effectively. The profiling on Day 1 is the foundation for everything that follows. It makes the learning personal, not generic.
Why Africa
Africa Needs This Conversation More Than Anywhere.
Africa is building organisations at a pace that outstrips its supply of trained, confident leaders. The gap between the scale of the opportunity and the quality of leadership in many organisations is real, and it's costing growth, costing retention, and costing potential.
We've delivered this program across Africa and beyond because the need is consistent: managers who have been promoted for technical ability but were never given the tools to lead people. The Excuse Remover program gives them those tools. In three days. In a room. With people facing exactly the same challenges.

Why These Accreditations Are Worth Understanding
These aren't just letters on a business card. Each certification represents years of training, assessment, and real-world application. Here's what they actually mean for you.
International Coaching Federation
The International Coaching Federation is the world's largest coaching body and sets the gold standard for professional coaching. ICF accreditation means our methodology has been independently assessed against rigorous ethical and competency standards. It matters because you know the coaching is structured, evidence-based, and accountable, not just someone calling themselves a coach.
Leadership Management International (USA)
LMI is one of the oldest and most respected leadership development organisations in the world. The Total Leader methodology is a proven, structured process used by thousands of organisations globally. We are accredited LMI facilitators and executive coaches, bringing this internationally recognised methodology to leaders across Africa and beyond.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a set of tools for understanding how people think, communicate, and behave. We use NLP principles throughout the program to help leaders reframe limiting beliefs, improve how they communicate, and build stronger self-awareness. Practical tools, not theory.
Banking Sector Education & Training Authority
Bankseta ETQA accreditation confirms that the training meets national quality standards and can be used for skills development levy claims. This accreditation ensures the program is recognised for formal training purposes across South African organisations.
Three Decades of Leadership Development
Over 30 years of hands-on experience working with leaders across Africa. Not just consulting from the outside, but working through real problems with real people. That depth of experience means we have seen every excuse, every pattern, and every barrier to leadership growth.
These certifications aren't window dressing. They're proof that the program is built on proven methodology, delivered by someone who has been independently assessed and continues to be held accountable to global standards.
You're not getting motivational speaking. You're getting world-class leadership development.
